Normandy Park is a city in the United States of America’s King County. At the 2010 census, the population was 6,335 people. Normandy Park is ranked 31st in the state of Washington in terms of per capita income. Normandy Park is located at 47°26′14′′N 122°20′36′′W (47°26′14′′N 122°20′36′′W) (47.437341, -122.343310). The city has a total area of 6.68 square miles (17.30 km2), of which 2.52 square miles (6.53 km2) is land and 4.16 square miles (10.77 km2) is water, according to the United States Census Bureau.
As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 6,335 people, 2,620 households, and 1,850 families. There were 2,513.9 persons per square mile (970.6 inhabitants per km2). There were 2,838 dwelling units at an average density of 1,126.2 dwelling units per square mile (434.8 dwelling units per km2). The city was 86.4 percent White, 0.8 percent African American, 0.9 percent Native American, 5.9 percent Asian, 0.3 percent Pacific Islander, 1.3 percent other races, and 4.4 percent of those who identified as having two or more races. Latino or Hispanic people of any race made up 5.2 percent of the population.
There were 2,620 households, 28.4 percent of which had children under the age of 18, 60.3 percent of which were married couples, 7.3 percent of which had a female householder without a husband, 3.0 percent of which had a male householder without a wife, and 29.4 percent of which were non-families. Individuals made up 25.2 percent of all households, while 13.3 percent of all households included someone aged 65 years or older. The typical household included 2.42 people and the average family contained 2.88.
The city’s median age was 48.7 years. 20.4 percent of people were under the age of 18; 5.7 percent were between the ages of 18 and 24; 17.8 percent were between the ages of 25 and 44; 35% were between the ages of 45 and 64; 21.2 percent were over the age of 65.
