Integrated electronics asset disposition for your business
Our approach to ITAD combines responsible recycling with secure data destruction, while leveraging value recovery to provide possible ROI for your next IT projects. When you partner with us, we provide free equipment evaluation and pickup, processing, a certificate of data destruction with serialized assets, and of course, responsible recycling. Not just that, but businesses with a large volume of IT equipment such as computers, monitors, servers and other electronic assets can potentially recover valuable revenue that can be put back into future IT ventures.
Secure Handling, Transport, And Processing
Our asset handlers will verify, handle, and transport your assets in a safe and secure manner. They will be received, weighed, sorted, and recorded against the original bill of lading. Our team is trained to handle your assets with a careful, professional manner. We are licensed, bonded and insured.
Responsible R2 Electronics Recycling
a. RESPONSIBLE RECYCLING© R2:2013
b. ISO 14001:2015
c. ISO 45001:2018
Items are processed to recover recyclable materials, or downstreamed to an R2 certified/compliant partner. Materials are broken down further to raw materials which are then used to create new products.
Certificate Of Data Destruction
Enterprise ITAD projects will receive a higher level of increased data security standards backed by a certificate of data destruction. This ensures all hard disk contents have been wiped and all portable devices have received degaussing, in accordance with DOD, HIPAA, FACTA, and NIST 800-88 compliance. A Data destruction certificate will be issued, which Includes the make, model, method of destruction, and serial number for itemized IT assets.
Itemized Certificate Of Destruction/Recycling
A Certificate of Destruction/Recycling will be issued to ensure IT assets have been recycled properly under RESPONSIBLE RECYCLING© R2:2013, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 standards. This will contain an accounting of equipment received and recycled against the original bill of lading. Both the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and International Standards Organization recognize these standards, as well as hold businesses accountable for this process. We will also issue a release of liability to protect you and your supply chain and others who may be exposed to e-waste.
Tracking and Management
Retired IT Assets are tracked from handling to final disposition using our reporting software. This ensures your items have been collected, processed, and weighed; devices that contain data have been wiped; electronic assets have been repurposed and disposed of properly with recycling certificates and traceability. We provide these records to you and keep them on file for a minimum of three years.
Serialized and Audit-ready Inventory Reporting
For your IT assets that require this extra level of tracking and destruction, we provide audit-ready inventory reporting. This report includes the following information:
- Asset type
- Asset make
- Asset model numbers
- Asset serial numbers
Audit-ready Destruction Of IT Asset Reporting
Many businesses or organizations have an IT Asset Management (ITAM) policy that requires an integrated serialized destruction of these assets for tracking and reporting purposes. In addition, some manufacturers require certain products be physically destroyed because of a discontinued product line or other issue that prohibits recirculation into the secondary market. 1 Green Planet is prepared to meet these requirements and more to fully comply with internal or external policies.
